Well done to Hannah and Helen from Brendoncare Alton, part of the 35k walkers this week, battling blisters, heat and a 5:45am start, marking 35 yrs of care for older people.

Alton School celebrated impressive GCSE results with 80% of pupils achieving a commendable 9-5 grade and nearly half of all grades awarded being 9-7 (A**-A).

Congratulations to Alton College Geography student Alex Teeuw on his amazing achievement at this year’s iGeo competition in Hong Kong. Also to Alton College alumnus Thomas Andrews who won a Medallion of Excellence in Electronics at WorldSkills in Kazan this week.

London Irish 1st XV visited Alton Rugby Club which included a surprise visit by 1st team players Ben Meehan and Tom Stephenson. Alton Cricket Club celebrated 150 years.
